Tales from Glimmerbrook (2/3)

(As L. Faba has no background story, i wanted to give her little something. Also since she has no confirmed name, i referred her as Laurel in this short story. You can change it up to anything in your game.)

Like growing up different than the rest wasn't hard enough, having a wicked sense of humour made things even harder for her. There was something that she couldn't really find meaning behind all of this but.. what was wrong with her? Why she couldn't be like the other kids?

Pale skin with purple eyes, a huge birth mark around her eye, Laurel's look was screaming like "i'm a freak!". She never felt belonged anywhere at all. Not at school, not at neighborhood.. Everyone was staring at her with odd eyes, making joke of her.. bully her.. So she wore sunglasses every time she stepped outside home. Her parents were trying hard to make her feel better but things were never easy for Laurel.

Years passed slowly for her due to being surrounded with weirding out people. However, she learned to tame her inner outcast and followed the path of her family and took the hallow gem from her mother. It was a source for the ancient power granted to their family for generations. Bearing this gem gave her some sort of power for being forever young.

She educated herself for SO LONG that for a time, she isolated herself from the outer world. She grew so strong that when she turned back and looked her past, Laurel was feeling only pity for the child she was. Wish she knew what she is destined to become.

Nowadays, she's teaching the Magic of Mischief at the Academy of Magic, which is in Glimmerbrook. She will guide the outcasts to be better versions of themselves.

And so this way, these outcasts can teach a good (or should i say, bad??) lesson to the ones who bullied them.
