Saturdays video
Added 2024-03-29 03:49:28 +0000 UTCHey everyone! This is a little different than what I've done on here before, but long story short I'm coming to y'all for some direct feedback. Saturdays video is about why the new Stellar type doesn't work, but I'm having trouble deciding on a title. I figured it could be cool to have y'all vote on which title you think is MOST interesting, that you think you'd be most compelled to watch if you saw it. If you want to explain your reasoning feel free to comment below too!

I voted Pokémon’s newest failure bc it feels hilariously mean

2024-03-29 23:38:35 +0000 UTCI second this. Tho I would choose a title that had stellar in the name, and then followed up with "It doesn't work".

2024-03-29 13:11:26 +0000 UTCHonestly I think it’s like, Stellar doesn’t work because GameFreak was too afraid of committing to the concept so it behaves almost like a non-volatile status instead of a proper Tera Type. It doesn’t change your type(s), it doesn’t have any long-term benefits which makes it almost useless in 6v6 Smogon Singles (which could be interesting to mention if there’s still time to edit Future Wolfe/Iron Bonus in), and the boosts you do get basically make it a needlessly flashy Expert Belt and one-use Adaptability boost at the sizable cost of defensive value on the Stellar Pokémon and not having Terastallization available for anything else. I think the most, like… correct title would be “The Stellar Tera Is Fool’s Gold” or something - kinda thematic with Terastallization, still a brief and accurate thesis, and sounds less overtly clickbait-y intentionally or otherwise but still vague enough to pique interest from the potentially disinterested.

2024-03-29 11:12:10 +0000 UTCCould a title like "Is the Stellar Type Good?" Work better? People come to you for your opinion, because in a lot of people's eyes, you're the GOAT. I think the general consensus is that Stellar type is bad, and a title that makes it seem possible that the GOAT could disagree could pique some people's interest. I also think a lot of people probably already have their opinion on why the stellar type sucks, so maybe they wouldn't bother watching, if that's what they think the video's about.

2024-03-29 09:56:06 +0000 UTCI feel like not naming the type in the title makes it to click bait-y.

2024-03-29 08:24:40 +0000 UTCI feel like "Pokemons newest failure" should gets the most clicks, but it might also attract the wrong audience (eg: Pokemon haters).

2024-03-29 05:55:53 +0000 UTCI'd also love to see this, even if it's a 1 minute long video for April Fools. I beat the DLC, got the mon, and thought "what? Is this it?"

2024-03-29 04:27:55 +0000 UTCIs it having enough of an impact to be meta ruining? As a spectator, I have seen it used in approximately 5% of teams

2024-03-29 04:26:08 +0000 UTCThe thumbnail will feature Stellar prominently so I'm not as worried about any miscommunication!

2024-03-29 04:21:01 +0000 UTCWhen I saw the notification, I read the vote options before the description. All the "newest type" references made me think of Fairy, partially based on Wolfe's prior videos about Fairy being overpowered. So, just a heads up that some of your viewers might feel confused or misled if you talk about a "newest type" rather than a "new Tera type".

2024-03-29 04:16:36 +0000 UTCAlso I feel like in general a title that says “why” something happens is more likely to be clicked on than just a title stating a fact if that makes sense.

2024-03-29 04:02:57 +0000 UTCPokemons Newest Failure because I feel statements titles rather than question do a little better in terms of Click Through Rate

2024-03-29 03:59:33 +0000 UTCI like “why the new Pokémon type doesn’t work” because it has just “failed” because most people don’t think it’s good, it just doesn’t work at all right now… Also for some reason it just feels more newbie friendly to me, like someone who knows nothing competitive about the game would be more likely to click on it.

2024-03-29 03:56:51 +0000 UTCIdk if the video will have a mix of competitive and non-competitive analysis, but from you I might expect a title like "Pokemon's new type is RUINING the current meta" etc

2024-03-29 03:56:20 +0000 UTCI like the first one, technically it should have an apostrophe (pokemon's) but idk if that affects keyword searches or whatever?

2024-03-29 03:54:46 +0000 UTCI think "such and such sucks" feels a lot more negative than "such and such doesn't work". The type doesn't really add anything, but I don't feel like the game lost anything by putting it in, so I don't mind it the way I mind meta-warping mons. So I'm voting for something less negative ("Pokemon's Newest Type Doesn't Work").

2024-03-29 03:54:29 +0000 UTCI feel the title should not mention failure in case it becomes good one day. Saying it doesn’t work because it doesn’t right now seems better

2024-03-29 03:53:08 +0000 UTCI would LOVE more info about the Stellar Tera typing and why I am never seeing it. Also wolfey, will you be planning a video on Terapagos? I want to use it in VGC when it becomes legal and am working on an EV spread for it on a Trick Room team.

2024-03-29 03:52:07 +0000 UTCPokemon added a new type. It sucks.
