Neverwinter Wood - Part 2 Map Pack!

This project got me working many hours yesterday, and I'm happy to report that we have another section of the Neverwinter Wood completed - [80 x 160], as well as a bonus Dragon of Icespire Peak Map that takes place in Neverwinter -- Tree Trap [60 x 60]

This section of the Neverwinter Wood lay to the east of the previous map, forming a 160 x 160 square of contiguous woodland. That's 640,000 square feet of woods to be able to explore, hold random encounters, stage massive fights, integrate quests and much more!

Some of the points of interest in this 2nd map:

1. Dry Lake Bed - the dry river bed curves eastward into what was once a large lake, but now stands as a small valley within the woods. The valley is largely devoid of large trees, but many caves and holes have been formed (or dug out) by erosion, nature and creatures. This would be a great place for a goblin tribe, clutch of ogres or other creatures to dwell.

2. Mysterious Stones -  near the southern part of this map are a set of old stones, now long forgotten and crawling with vines. Was it an old ritual site for foul deeds, or a hallowed fey site for celebrations? Perhaps tampering with them would be a good idea.

3. Overgrown Stone Circle - on the western edge of the map, along one of the trails, is an overgrown stone circle. There are very few designs and it seems nondescript. Could it simply be a work of art from a previous time? Or perhaps the cover to a dungeon below? I suggest opening it, despite any warnings that appear on its face in glowing letters.

4. Bone-filled Nests - perched atop the southern stones of the dry lake bed are a couple of very large nests containing what appears to be a collection of bones. Squirrel bones? No, they seem bigger. Much bigger. Might be a humanoid skull or seven in there. Might need to keep a wary eye to the skies while walking about these parts.

My goal is to continue this forest with 160 x 160 squares, perhaps every month or two, to build upon this area and weave in other forest areas to provide not only for additional random encounters, but also to weave into a larger story, where players may spend several sessions exploring the woods, its many cracks and crevices, en route toward some camp located deep in the woods.

If you have any ideas for future forest maps, let me know, and I can try and weave it in!

Also included in this Map Pack is Tree Trap, an encounter map from Circle of Thunder from Dragon of Icespire Peak. This map portrays a burned pine tree in the center, to which several creepy twig-woven dolls are tethered. Definitely interact with them.

I hope these maps serve you well on your adventures, and I would love to hear stories of how you use them! =)

Misty Forst or the High Forest would be nice. Or A Cave in the Forest to the Underdark :D
