This is a free battle map depicting a corrupt city official's office. The map is gridded to 35 x 26, but I would use an ungridded version and grid it to 70 x 52 for optimal spacing and gameplay.
Opening Story
"Jans wrung his hands nervously as he sat on in the entry chamber. The smooth wooden bench bore the weight of he and his troubles with ease, but Jans wasn't holding up so well. If he didn't receive this commission, all of the money he spent setting up the deal would be lost. His entire savings, gone with the wave of the official's hand.
The chamber door suddenly heaved open, and Jans jumped to his feet. A guard bearing the somber green and black heraldry of the city office exited and beckoned toward Jans.
Tugging briefly at his finery, Jans wet his fingertips and slicked back his hair. Sucking in a deep breath, he exhaled sharply and strode through the double doors into the hall.
A detailed carpet wove its way toward a raised platform at the far end of the hall, its soft fibers muffling the nervous steps Jans made as he entered. He glanced to either side, the silhouettes of guards milling about the shadows beyond brightly lit pillars, faceless helmets observing his slow walk toward the city official seated upon the platform.
As he neared, he folded his hands and opened his mouth to speak, but the sharp voice of the city official stole any opportunity he may have had.
"I am told you are one merchant Jans Urrin, and that you request official commission to represent trade incoming from the city of Wert tomorrow afternoon at the docks, and that you further request exclusivity for all goods sold on their behalf..."
"Yes, that's correct."
The city official looked up from the papers on his desk, peering down toward the fat merchant as one might appraise an offering of livestock.
"Yes, I know it's correct. It wasn't a question. The cost of your commission will be 350 sovereigns, the sum total due by week's end with the material goods as collateral. Do you agree?"
The merchant's mouth went slack and his jaw completely abandoned the roof of his mouth as it dipped open like a fish on a lure.
"T-t-three hundred and fifty!? Y-your honor, that's nearly my entire profit!?", the merchant stammered, his voice a mixture of quivering disbelief and rising anger.
"Yes, nearly. Should we make it the entire sum, you're suggesting?", the official asked, his brows lifting above his beady eyes.
The merchant closed his mouth and pursed his lips, blinking a few times before offering a quick shake of his head.
"No, sir, the offer is acceptable.", the merchant offered meekly.
"Very well. This office awards Jans Urrin exclusive rights to represent trade between the shipment incoming from Wert on the morrow for a fee of 350 sovereigns due at week's end. If prompt payment isn't made, then the material goods are forfeit to the city and you shall be fined.".
A clerk stepped away from the platform, handing Jans a rolled parchment with a wax seal before ushering him out the door. As the door closed with a soft groan, the city official glanced toward a figure standing to his left, clad in dark leathers and wearing a long black cloak.
"See that your men find him after payment's been made from the sale of goods, and be sure they are not identified or linked to this office. I'll have the money and the goods.", the official said, as he closed a large book before him.
"Yes, your honor.", the figure replied, stepping away with a sweep of his cloak and striding into the shadows of the side of the hall.

This battle map depicts a City Official's Office, where they handle day-to-day business related to arrests, grievances, guard allocation and other such duties. It is a seat of power and, thus, ripe for corruption. The map contains an interior layout of the city office, as well as surrounding buildings and city streets.
Legend
The city office contains the following rooms:
1. Entry Room - A large entry of tiled floor stands largely devoid of decoration, save a pair of benches, wall sconces and a rich carpet leading from the southern door toward a pair of broad double doors to the north.
2. Guard Room - A guard post lay to the west of the entry room, providing an out of sight location for men to watch the flow of traffic outside, as well as keep an eye on the entry itself, as well as the jail across the hall.
3. Small Jail - A small jail containing [4] cells lay to the east of the Entry Room, an easy place to imprison debtors, thieves and other criminals before officially moving them to the dungeons, or releasing them.
4. Official's Office - A modest office lay southwest of the audience chamber, where the city official keeps his private desk and papers. It also has a secret door behind the bookcase leading toward a small chamber and trapdoor out of the compound.
5. Hall of Records - A library contains maps, records, deeds and other paperwork related to the official work of the city.
6. Dining Hall - A small dining room provides the city official with a place to meet with important visitors, guests or employees should he wish some privacy and comfort outside of his personal home.
7. Kitchen & Larder - A small kitchen here provides meals for the guards, city officials, clerks and other employees.
8. Audience Chamber Guard Room - A small chamber for guards lay on the east side of the Audience Chamber, allowing men to be hidden away unless needed.
9. Record Keeper's Office - A small bedchamber lay here, belonging to the head record keeper of the city office.
10. Main Audience Chamber - A large chamber lay here, with high ceilings supported by stone pillars and a floor bearing the rich black and green color of the city. A wooden platform, desk and chair stand upon the northern end, where the city official presides over daily business, flanked by clerks, messengers and guards.
11. Guard Barracks - A large guard barracks lay here, providing ample room for the men stationed to this facility that oversee the jail, daily business and local town business outside the building.
12. Armory - A small armory provides arms and armor for its local guards.
13. Guard Captain's Office - A small bedchamber lay here for the captain of the guard, providing room to meet with his men in private and plan patrols.
