Welcome to the Black Hold, the main level of a city prison surrounded by a sprawling neighborhood that has swallowed the location since its original construction.

The Hold is a single-story keep with high walls and no ramparts. It was designed with the intent to keep prisoners in than to keep invaders out, so it lacks the defenses typical in other keeps such as arrow slits, murder holes, guard towers and ramparts.

This map could be used for a variety of purposes, including:

1. Infiltrating the keep and making your way into the dungeons to rescue a person of importance.

2. Gaining information on personnel inside the keep.

3. Speaking with a guard contact.

4. Being given a contract or bounty to hunt down criminals.

The next Map Pack will be the Dungeon of the Black Hold that will correspond with this map, though you could certainly choose to link any dungeon you wish to the stairway leading down.
