Kobold Dragon Wagon | Vehicle Map Pack!

While I am busily working on a new map featuring a Black Dragon lairing with the ruins of an old dwarven temple in the swamp, I had a vision for this fine fellow and decided I couldn't resist making it come to life.

Enter the KOBOLD DRAGON WAGON!

This large battle wagon has been crafted with the carved head of a dragon (normally the color and style of the dragon they serve -- in this case , black dragon), and then fitted with a narrow profile providing the kobolds with protection as they roll into battle. Shields attached to the outside offer cover and protection against missile fire, while the height of the wagon keeps most ground predators from easily reaching those inside.

The mouth of the dragon is connected to a barrel and pump, primed to expel a gout of flammable oil which is then ignited by a torch normally lingering about the dragon's snout, allowing the kobolds to breathe fire upon any enemies attacking from the front.

As they reach a battle point, the sides of the wagon can swing out, offering mobile platforms for several kobold archers to assume behind cover of the shields and fire out and down at the creatures around them.

I put the wagon into Foundry on my Forge Gorge Random Encounter Map with a few PC tokens and the kobolds deployed in this formation, for fun, and it seems like it'd be something more fun than a simple fight behind tree cover.

The Map Pack features [2] tiles:

1. A closed/travelling version of the wagon as it trundles toward its destination.

2. An open/deployed version, when engaging the enemy.

But how does it move!?

You may not be able to see it very well, but there is a giant lizard hitched to the bottom of the wagon (in the actual tile -- not the concept image), that trundles along and carries the wagon where it needs to go. The lizard is controlled by the kobolds in the wagon above.

If you didn't want to go this route, you could invent whatever kind of propulsion you wanted ranging from mechanical to literal kobolds in a hamster wheel, should you want to hand wave a few things. Completely up to you!
