Devout Keep - Paladin/Holy Order | Winter [42 x 24]
Located along the river of a settlement lay the Devout Keep of a Holy Order of Knights/Paladins. Already behind settlement walls, the keep is designed less as a formidable defensive structure and more as a barracks, but thick stone walls, broad gates and a well-manned garrison stand as a heft deterrent to those that would seek illegal entry.
The keep contains a Guardhouse, Commander's Quarters, Officer's Quarters, War Room, Mess Hall, Kitchen & Storage, Armory, Privies, [4] Barracks and a large Temple within the Inner Yard of the Keep.
How can I use this in my games?
| The keep may be the home of one of your players, or their semi-permanent place of residence/employ. They may need to occasionally return to speak with superiors, receive new orders, donate gold to the order or assist with a crusade or greater cause.
| Players may need to seek the assistance/alliance of members of the Order, locating and seeking audience with an officer or Commander to plead their case, gain information, permission or assistance in their adventures.
| The keep may have been taken over by fanatical leaders that have caused the order to stray from its otherwise devout and just cause, inviting the players to discern the cause of the corruption and develop a plan to cleanse it.
