Tier Rewards for Ruins of Thundertree Map Pack! [56 x 38]
Added 2021-02-06 22:12:02 +0000 UTCHere are your rewards for the Ruins of Thundertree Map Pack [56 x 38]!
This Map Pack is for the Ruins of Thundertree from the Lost Mine of Phandelver Adventure, and provides you with a sprawling 56 x 38 map of the ruined area, with some slight modifications. I’ve enlarged a few of the areas and increased the detail that players/DM’s had complained about (i.e. no spider webs on the map, when it’s described as obvious – more distinction between the “thicket” that’s difficult terrain vs. the “grassy area” around the housing.
I hope you guys enjoy it, and let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add!

a No Grid 256PPI Version would be nice

Not sure why it's representing 300 PPI though, that's strange. As for the roofs -- I can definitely do it for Thundertree, because I'm making a 2nd level anyhow because of the Mage Tower and will have to include all of the rooftops anyhow, but it may not be something I can do for every map.

2021-02-07 19:19:40 +0000 UTCHmm, for some reason when I open them in GIMP they all show as 300ppi. It's not difficult for me to measure a grid section and re-scale, but the spreadsheet would be helpful too :) Regarding the roofs, I think a 2nd level would work. Basically what I'm looking for is a roof the size/shape of each of the buildings, that I can print out separately to place on top of the building interior. I suppose it's easy enough for me to just fire up Dungeondraft and use the roof tool to create a couple of roofs. Thanks again for all your hard work!

2021-02-07 19:15:26 +0000 UTCHi Jon -- thanks for the comments. If you're referring to the maps labeled "Large" -- none of them should be 300 PPI. Most of them are going to be less, far less than that for a big map like this. The "Large" maps are the ones that I've sized to less than 10MB for Roll20 Paid Users. In the near future, I will have a spreadsheet that has the dimensions along with the PPI, so I think that will address what you're asking for here. As for the "roofs" -- I'm not really sure how I would accomplish that, with regards to the map. Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but the buildings will either have roofs or they won't. Now, if you mean that you'd like there to be some kind of roof objects that match the buildings that you can somehow manipulate on/off, I will likely be making a 2nd floor of the Restored Thundertree, which would have roofs for all of the buildings, and you could potentially use those for the ruined one, as well.

2021-02-07 16:34:52 +0000 UTCAs I mentioned on Facebook, it looks great and I'm excited to use these maps! A couple of suggestions/questions: #1 The "Large" version of this map is set to 300ppi, but the grid actually maps to 108ppi. I'm using GIMP to adjust the print size to 108ppi. I print the maps out and chop them up so I can use "fog of war" type discovery on a table-top, and this helps them to print at the correct scale. If you can publish them with the ppi adjusted that would be awesome. #2 - I'd love to see "roofs" available for the buildings, again for player discovery I'd like to be able to remove the roof when the players enter the building.
