Up Next - Gnomengarde & Butterskull Ranch!

I AM working on a Noble Estate appropriate for Ravenloft and/or an evil adversary to your party in tandem to this, but the next DoIP maps I'm going to tackle are Gnomengarde and Butterskull Ranch.

I'm excited to get the chance to work on a gnomish environment, as that is something I haven't tried before, and I hope to be able to get these started sometime this weekend and hopefully finished by the next weekend.

If you have any suggestions, ideas or comments about these places, please let me know!

Best,

Jeff @ Morvold

Up Next - Gnomengarde & Butterskull Ranch!

For butterskull ranch, I would request if be broken up into 2 segments. similar to how your Umberage Hill maps had options for the 2nd and 3rd level of the windmill. The larger map from the box set is supposed to be 1 square = 50 feet, so a secondary map for the farmhouse would be a nice to have. As for Gnomengarde, Perhaps have two variants of the map one with the barrel crabs in G6 and the death-spinny spike contraption from G10, and one without those compotnents. That way, folks on a VTT could make tokens for the barrel crabs, and the truly fancy DMs could either choose to use the trap in G10, or opt to spice things up/dumb it down based on their player's abilities.

I don't think the overhead view will be a huge problem. I'll give it a go, at least!

The QA on DOIP seemed a little lacking, I'm sure that map was supposed to be closer to 1 square = 50 ft. I'm sure not a lot of people run combat on the larger map, and it wouldn't have to be super detailed overall, but having the overhead view of the farm in a matching style to the rest of these maps would be kinda nice. Definitely not a must have, though, imo.

The book has a strange scale of the farmland. I will certainly do the farmhouse, but would it be useful to do a map of the farm itself, even if it were a larger scale? For example, on the farmland map they provide, they say 1 square = 5 ft, and the entire farmhouse exists on a 5ft x 5ft square, which, obviously, is impossible. What would be most useful for you?

On the ranch, will there be the large overhead map of the entire ranch, or just the farmhouse?
