Added 2021-05-17 01:06:53 +0000 UTCThis is the 2nd Phandalin Illustration I've requested, which is the downtrodden/oppressed Phandalin presented to the party in the beginning of the Lost Mine of Phandelver adventure. The party discovers a town in disrepair, buildings falling apart, the townspeople mistrustful, abused and afraid, and the streets plagued with a mercenary band of thugs and cutthroats down as the Red Brands.
I asked for the artist to help a convey a somber mood of fear, murk, oppression, sadness and fear, which is embodied by both the town and its people.
Pictured here are the Townmaster's Hall, Stonehill Inn, Shrine of Luck, Townmaster's Hall, Stonehill Inn, Shrine of Luck, Garaele's home, Tresendar Manor (destroyed), part of the Sleeping Giant, and the Town Green.
