Light Removal Tool for .dd2vtt file users (Foundry)

Hi all!

Over the last several months, one of the things several Foundry users have mentioned is that the amount of lights in some of the maps causes Foundry to freeze/lockup. This can be remedied by removing the lights and re-adding them, but sometimes just opening the map can be troublesome and/or time consuming.

I reached out to a community and ended up paying someone to  create a tool to automatically remove all light objects (while keeping their effect) from any given .dd2vtt file (the primary file format for Foundry users from Dungeondraft).

I've attached a quick walkthrough movie and the .ZIP file for the tool itself.

I hope many of you find this useful!

Best,

Jeff @ Morvold

Awesome, thank you!

I've asked the programmer I had make that piece for me, if he could make a Mac version. If not, I may put out a general call to folks to see if somebody has the ability to make one and pay them to do it, just so I can support both OS's.

Thanks for the quick reply! If there's an easy fix that'd be awesome. But if there's not, I don't think there are too many of us mac users in the Foundry world so I understand if it's a thing I gotta figure out on my own.

Hi Dayna! Ah, I guess I wasn't aware that the program was Windows-only (not a programmer). Let me check with some of my other Patrons and see if they have any ideas, and I can also check with the author of the program and see if we can get a Mac version.

Just joined your patreon, your maps are awesome! I'm using the Bent Coin first (in Foundry) and am having this same lag issue. Unfortunately I'm on a mac. Any chance there's a solution like this for us mac users?

Whoa, this is great, thank you!
