Updates to LMoP Maps

I wanted to mention that I am in the process of updating all of the older Lost Mine of Phandelver maps (left) to the new style (right), which was developed over the last several months of map-making.

The new style will include better lighting, coloring, shading and transparent trees to ensure that all of the maps have a similar look/feel.

This will be done not only for the Phandalin home maps, but all of the included LMoP and side quest maps, as well. Once updated, I will make sure all of the download links are updated with the new versions, for those that want to take advantage of the new map design/aesthetic.

Best,

Jeff @ Morvold

Updates to LMoP Maps

All of the map versions (gridded and ungridded) are a part of ZIP files. Those ZIP files are released in posts labeled "Tier Rewards for , and are separated by the Tier you chose. On the main page of this Patreon, there is a pinned post that has all of the Map Packs in order of release and URLs to the corresponding page (by Tier) to those posts, where you will find the download link for that map's corresponding ZIP file. That will contain the gridded and ungridded versions of the maps. There's also a Google Docs spreadsheet that has something similar, though it isn't yet comprehensive. If you have more questions, come join the Discord, happy to help!

Where arr the grinded versions?

I am planning to have roof overlays for all of the buildings as a result of this process, yes!

Jeff Todd

Wonderful! I'm using all the current maps in my latest lost mine campaign

Hi, great to see the changes. Will you also be including an additional roof overlay for these maps? I think it would be a great addition

I may be mildly changing the lighting, but it shouldn't change where lights are physically located on the map. And I'm not touching any walls or changing any map dimensions. Everything should be the same.

This is a fantastic improvement! I will be converting all of my LMoP / Phandalin town maps over to yours before I run it the next time. I had already planned on doing so, but now have an even bigger reason. ;-) Can we assume when you do these changes that new maps will be drop-in compatible; ie same wall positions, sizes, geometry, light source positions, etc?

Love it. Happy to be a supporter!

Ryan -- Most of the DoIP maps were made in this style, but I will certainly go back to those and work toward updating them, as well -- though I will probably continue first to finish all of the DoIP maps, then go back and update. Hoping to have at least one more DoIP released this month.

Do you forsee any updates to the Dragon of Icespire Peak maps as well?
