I should be typing out my thoughts right here and comment on that right afterward! That'd be a hoot!" So now I'm just typing shit for dsajklgs;ajg
What you guys ended up dodging was basically me pulling the equivalent of "tHaT wAs AlL a DrEaM1!1!1!" type ending, where it was revealed that this was all fake and on a movie set, with Cooper and me being the director and all that in the style of that doujin that was made based off Kevin (and I appeared in it!). Cooper would then say " I remember telling you this would happen," his exact words from the discord chat in regards to what Dinadan said in the comments of the last page. Because anything is said in here or anywhere else, there's a good chance I'll bring it up in the chat, then Cooper will say something then vanish to play Overwatch, meanwhile I'm forcing myself not to because Overwatch is fucking heroin. Moment I start playing again, that's all I'm doing. So I'm staying away.
So, in a way, the goal of this chapter was to tell a goofy story in regards to Owen's career, which is literally being a government secret agent. It's absolutely canon. And was thought up because last year when Cooper first started helping me, I went "I should come up with some backstory for Owen. We don't know shit about him." Cooper sarcastically went "make him a secret agent." Thus he is, because I tend to do that. If you happen to read Magical Girl Dallas, there's a new character coming in Episode 5 that was concepted back in summer of 2015 with my friend. "Hey, we should come up with a new villain since we killed The Mask Sorrow in episode 2." "What about (character idea)." We laugh. "That's stupid. I'm doing it." "Wait, what?"
Hopefully the guys who voted for making Owen a Hollywood actor and breaking the 4th wall aren't too disappointed that things will continue as such. It's only two more pages, and then it's back to focusing on Kevin and will finally end this arc that started all the way back in #174.

2019-07-06 08:33:02 +0000 UTCI actually didn't expect a reply to my comment, and I appreciate that an artist, visual or story teller has a vision for their creation usually from start to finish and fills in the space in between as their characters find themselves in predicaments and unexpectedly painted into corners they must find they're way out of. Having said this however, stories of this nature appeal to a certain kink in your readers. Each of us hoping it the tale will twist this way or that. For me, I don't believe that the tale will twist the way I had hoped, and I don't say this as a bad thing. I find you an increasable artist and writer in frame by frame story telling, maintaining a coherent thread in a difficult format in which to weave a tale. Bravo! Unfortunately, I believe the course that this story isn't going to travel the road I'd like to travel. I wish you the best of luck for it's planned conclusion (as all stories must eventually reach). Sadly I won't be at the end of this path when you reach it. This is not a reflection on your choice of paths to take. I myself have written 5 Internet stories with fairly strong followings. Ultimately everyone wants a special twist just for them which I cannot accommodate. I would like to write what they want to see in their imagination. My stories are all text and the canvas must be painted in their heads. I do my best to paint an image they can use but like most artists, we have a beginning and an end and wind up filling in the painting according to our plan as best we can. Trying to remain steadfast to our vision as we can. If we don't we wind up with a pile of spaghetti that we will never be able to straighten out end to end to anyone's satisfaction. All we can hope for is that the fans that found the story remain with us on the primrose path, suspending belief long enough to follow us to the end. I have had loads of fun following Doris and Kevin on their path to this point and promise I will keep an eye on DeviantArt and Pixiv for new tales that may travel different roads I am more interested in following you down. As for a spoiler regarding if Kevin could get stuck: the only way for that to happen would involve a process that would make the comic go to very uncomfortable and disturbing levels. It won't ever actually happen, so hate to ruin that for you if your were hoping for that conclusion. I'll have Miranda go into details eventually how that would work eventually.
