Memorial Day Weekend (Day Off)

Woke up yesterday from a text from my mom saying "you should come over some time this weekend!" So I went yesterday and hung out with my parents for a few hours before going to see Alien Covenant with my sister and brother-in-law.
I enjoyed Alien Covenant. I also have only seen the original Alien and Prometheus, so I'm not entirely drained by the premise of the franchise. Back when Prometheus came out, there was a lot of shit throwing at the film, but I found it okay. Sure, there were problems, but I had a good time seeing it. Felt the same way with Covenant. I felt the script was a bit tighter this time around, though there are parts of the film that don't feel like they really need to be there/made specifically to have in the trailer. They also severely underutilized the Engineers from the previous film, which I found disappointing. If you were okay with Prometheus then I imagine you'll enjoy it. If not, then maybe sit it out.
