XP Pen Artist 16 Practice: Day 1

(I bought it off through amazon warehouse deals so I got a nice chunk taken off, then took advantage of points with my amazon credit card which I use to pay bills/rent, which brought it down even more.)

For the past year and a half, I've been using the old Bamboo Pen and Touch (https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/810ENRruPAL._SL1500_.jpg) which works well, but I've always wanted to upgrade to a monitor style tablet. However, cintiqs are super fucking expensive, so I went shopping for an alternative, and from what I gathered this one was one of the better ones. And it was (less than) a third of the price of a similar sized Cintiq.

However, switching from a look up to draw tablet to a monitor tablet is pretty weird. There's gonna be some growing pains that I knew I would have to get over. Since we're on a break from the comic for two weeks, I felt like now would be the time to do it while at the same time try and improve my art overall.

My goal is to have some sort of new drawing done almost every day these next few weeks. Reason I say almost is because I know for a 100% fact I'm not gonna get shit done due to a mixture of an eye exam, my sister's baby's gender reveal party, and then my best friend's birthday. All crammed in the same day. Also Mario Odyssey at some point in there. So yeah, don't expect anything Saturday night.

Not all of it is gonna be suiting related, but I'll make sure to do a few before the next chapter starts up.
