So the day is currently saved regarding the writing for the chapter. Got a good chunk written up while at work, though I had to stop to make plates and then went home afterward, so I'll continue writing it eventually.

/kicks the can down the road

As for the writing challenge, I'm currently sitting in around 16k words. Hadn't really written anything between Thursday last week and yesterday. Just about an entire week of no work getting done on it. As I step back and look at it, the novel is very much coming out as a slice of life story. As in, there' some plot but it's not really going places. It's more of watching this character interact with those around her and getting settled in a new locale. Here's hoping it doesn't come out like absolute shit!
