It's still Thursday in Hawaii, so I'm still on time!

Ever since returning home, I've been drawing in the den while Dragon Ball plays in the background. In less than two weeks I've gone from the Red Ribbon Army saga to Goku fighting Piccolo in the World Martial Arts Tournament which is playing right now. Ever since the original Dragon Ball aired however long ago it was on Cartoon Network, I've always preferred it to Z. The fantastical world and the adventures Goku and the others went on was always more entertaining to watch than the power level stuff Z was stuck in. Goku was also a lot more vulnerable back then, which made the fights more interesting as things like getting hit by a robot hand would actually hurt him. Having Goku be the equivalent of a god with the later stuff was kind of boring. Each new enemy being even MORE powerful became utterly ridiculous.
