Back when she and Kevin first met, Elaine was a hardcore weeaboo and loved to show how superior anime was to all other forms of cartoons, regardless of quality, hence Kevin's introduction to Lodoss, which as we've seen has been tinted with the goggles of nostalgia for him these days.
Maybe one day I can do a chapter that takes place when they were younger, but who knows.
