And concludes the spooky scary Halloween 2020 story.
OR IS IT!?!?
OooooOOOOoooo!!!!
Yeah. It pretty much is.
After many years of procrastination, I've finally started watching the Mobile Suit Gundam Movie Trilogy. Went for the movies since I've heard over the years they do a good job at telling the story of the original series, tightening up parts of the script and shaving off unnecessary fluff. Finished the first movie tonight after having started it last night, and I'm digging it. Nice to see the source of a work that's been referenced and riffed to death in my favorite medium.
It's strange coming into OG Gundam while having seen riffs and parodies over the years. For instance, a character who I had thought was a major player in the series, due to having seen them in fan works, and those old school Toonami mixes. Then in the movie they're dead and done with halfway through the first movie. Took me by surprise. Turns out learning about a series through osmosis isn't a good way to know about an actual series! Who'd a thunk it?
Also Amuro deserved those slaps.
