Edit: Slept for 11 hours after work. Will figure out the backgrounds for those last two panels later.

Finally wrapped up Pokemon: Battle Frontier and can continue onward with Pokemon: Diamond and Pearl.

That opening is really trying to sound badass to cover up the fact that generation is called Diamond and Pearl.

I remember back when the game was coming out, I thought those choices in colors were "gay", as the kiddos said back in the mid aughts. When I was picking up a copy I debated which one seemed less lame, and went with Diamond. I can only imagine when they were set to dub the show and make an opening, some execs were like "How do we make it so boys will not think this season is too girly due to the name?" "I know, how about we make the music intense!"

I actually kind of dig it, especially coming off from the opening to Battle Frontier, which sounded insanely hokey, and ended the song with the singer saying "Pokey mon" like that bit from The Simpsons with Bill Cosby.
