The cats that were pretty friendly haven't stopped by for food recently, which adds to my suspicion that maybe they belonged to someone in the apartment complex. Two other strays who want nothing to do with me other than food are still out and about, though.
They announced that there's going to be a new Urusei Yatsura TV anime coming out this year. As much as I love the idea of more Urusei Yatsura, I'm also wary that it won't be as good as the original series. Part of what made the TV series fun was Oshii having freedom to do whatever. I bought a few volumes of the original manga, but I don't find it as interesting. I'm sure it'll look nice the very least!

I think she's supposed to be an example of the 'driven researcher who sacrificed a social life in the name of science' trope. Which works, to a point, since this technology needs to stay Highest-Possible Secret for it to remain effective. How she develops as a person through the course of the story promises to be interesting. .
