Dark times ahead for Kevin's English career.

Haven't really watched much of any new anime this season. There isn't any that really seems to stick out to me that I feel like I need to watch. Not that that's a problem since I've got a massive backlog I need to dive into.

Instead of watching The Promised Neverland I wound up reading the manga since Shonen Jump is only $2 a month, which is a fucking steal. Wound up powering through all 118 chapters in like 4 days. It's really entertaining and I like the designs on the demons and all that. Without spoiling there's one later that had this old wild west look to it that I thought was pretty neat.

My biggest complaint is that the plot heavily relied on the stupidest hand waving piece of shit for it to continue as it did. Again, I won't mention what as to not spoil anything, but it made me say "oh fuck off" out loud. I honestly thought the mangaka really wanted to have this one twist that didn't make any sense at all, but forced it anyway despite how ridiculously stupid and contrived it was.

Seconding Endro. It looks very moe and it is but it's a pretty solid send up of the typical hero story and not afraid to laugh at itself.

This season does have some pretty good shows actually. For you I'd reccomend Endro. Pastel Memories is also pretty fun, especially if you're into anime - it's a very "meta" show. Kaguya-sama is also fantastic, but I'm kind of biased since I already read the source material. As for TPN, I basically did the same thing you did, and I have to agree with a lot of your sentiments (i powered through the whole thing in a night!). I personally didn't think any of it was that asspull-y, but to each his own.
