Had some severe weather again today. Didn't seem to do as much damage as last week, but from what I saw some traffic lights were out again, so the work commute tomorrow is going to be a lot of fun.

Picked up Celeste for the Switch earlier in the week as it was on sale. I really enjoyed the story in it, where you accept the negative aspects of yourself and use it to propel yourself upward into becoming a better person. My biggest complaint was less the game itself and more the fact I played using a pro controller. The D-Pad is super sensitive, and some jumps were practically impossible because instead of going left or right the D-Pad would register up-left, down-left, etc. Some points I gave up and switched to the control stick, which has its own issues when it comes to super tight platformers. Since I finished the game I turned on all the assist shit to basically become invincible so I can find all the hearts and access the last chunk of the game. Not bothering with collecting all the strawberries because whew, fuck that.

Also picked up Valkyria Chronicles as I've been meaning to play it for about a decade. Haven't gotten far, but man oh man do I fucking suck as a squad commander. Nobody has died yet, but plenty have become incapacitated and needed to be hauled off the field.
