Finally got an appointment to have this cap put on my tooth, along with a filling in another. It's been a long ass journey to get to this point. Once that's done I should be finished with tooth issues for the foreseeable future.

Saw Toy Story 4 last night. It was okay. Was nowhere near as emotional as Toy Story 3, which I still think the series should've ended with that. Like, the story they were telling in 4 was okay and all, but if it never existed it would've been fine. It didn't add much to franchise (other than solidifying that they aren't gonna be making more after it).

The theme of the film without spoiling was "moving on," or at least it felt like it to me. Sure, you had a job, and the job's done, but you can't keep holding onto it or try to recreate it. At some point you have to accept you're no longer needed for that role and need to move on and find something new worthwhile for you to do. One way to look at it is a parent having to stop babying their kid. After a certain age the kid is capable of doing things themselves and they don't need you parenting 24/7. Maybe the kid went off to college and is starting their life. Now the parent has to find something else for them to focus their efforts on, whether it's a new hobby or something.

One thing that bugged me was Buzz Lightyear. He felt like he became dumber in the film, not understanding what a conscience is, thinking that it's the voice clips he makes when he presses the buttons on his chest and starts using those as a means of determining what he should do next. It was dumb. There's also some weird editing choices. Like, it focuses on a group of characters with 3 cutaways, leaving them to focus on someone else, only for the original group of characters to appear, and then a flashback to the scene where the cutaways were happening to finish off that scene. There should've been a better way to go about it.

The movie's fine. Not mind blowing or anything. It's a good way to kill time the very least.

Nothing weird about saying something likethat, especially to a person wanting to get into design school. I usually will say something like that. In open to that kind of thing with my friends and they give me their own opinions on how to solve something similar.
