Passing the Torch

Sorry for the radio silence, the beginning of the month was super hectic with preparations for Chinese New Year which fall early on the 22nd of January this year. With all of the festivities wrapped up, I can finally settle down and work on my art and some comics.
So the artwork above is tied to the Rabbit God in Chinese folk religion, and in traditional iconography he is seen riding on a tiger (sometimes a dragon or horse).
I felt it was symbolic that the Tiger is passing the torch to Rabbit to represent the new year by carrying him on his back.
