Got around to watching Twelve Forever on Netflix. Been wanting to check it out since I saw the pilot for Cartoon Network years back.

Putting aside the stuff that went on behind the scenes that I'm not gonna bother going into, the show is a hell of a fucking trip. It reminded me of the surrealistic humor Adventure Time had in its early seasons. Some of the things character will do will tiptoe the line of being incredibly disturbing and hilarious. And it's not just a few characters. Everyone in the fantasy world of "Endless" falls into that category. Even humans who stay there for longer than a day wind up becoming just as lunatic. It has this interesting way of saying "Look, you don't necessarily have to grow up and become a boring adult person. But you also can't stay in an eternal adolescence either."

The show is roughly 12 and a half episodes(?), but Netflix split them into 13 minute episodes each. If you got an afternoon and feel like watching a coming of age story trapped in a fever dream, it's worth checking out.

Also the villain's name is Butt Witch.
