I'd write more, but after eating a shit ton of cake I'm itchin' to do some time in the workout room at the apartment, and it's 11 PM, so I'll write something lengthier when I upload the color page. For now enjoy Mina Ashido.
Edit: Mkay!
As you can see from the last page and this page, I've learned how to bullshit my way into drawing a crowd without spending a billion hours on it. This is thanks to Cooper telling me to just do it after spending about 20 odd hours going through melancholy and depression. All in all I think it looks okay! They aren't perfect looking people, but since they aren't meant to draw too much attention I can wing it. Also gives me a way to include little hidden easter eggs/references.
Finished up another set of storyboards the other day and decided to call the chapter in another couple of pages. Not that the convention shenanigans is gonna be over with. Not by a long shot. Think of it more like the Castle of Cagliostro/Motel arc, except with better chapter splits so I don't feel exhausted after 32 pages before closing the chapter (prematurely, mind you. Lot of stuff was cut). Unlike previous chapter breaks there won't be any two page experimenting due to the comic being in what I consider to be a major turning point. So outside of the usual pinups so I can focus on catching up on writing/storyboarding, we'll be quickly setting sail back to plot.
