My nose is running like a mofo right now. Wonder if I caught a cold or something.
Kingdom Hearts 3 was $15 at Best Buy, so out of morbid curiosity I picked it up. Mind you, I haven't been really following the story since 2. I played a bit of that PSP one on the PS3, but when I got to the Cinderella level I was bored out of my skull at how boring that world was and wound up not going back to it. So yeah, missing lots of context in the story. I knew going into it that that was going to be the case, so anytime anyone speaks that's unrelated to the story that's going on in a particular Disney film, I let my eyes gloss over and zone out.
Shoving all the stupid plot shit I don't care about aside, the controls feel sluggish to me. Last I played was 1 a few years back as part of the remaster, but I don't remember it feeling as sluggish as 3 has been. I feel like I'm trying to rein in an animal that doesn't want to do what I want it to do at times. Mind you I played Final Fantasy XV and that had the same problem, but I didn't mind it there too much. Maybe it was because of the different aesthetics, where FFXV was more realistic, so I can understand people being a bit slow to react to something. But Kingdom Hearts is a cartoon, so I look at it and go "I should be moving right now, but I'm not." Or it's something like Sora is in the middle of doing something and I'm like "Hurry the fuck up so I can dodge this fucking projectile that's coming my way and oh look, you got hit despite me constantly trying to dodge. Good going you sack of shit."
I want to at least play the Toy Story world as I heard that's fun. As for if I'll actually beat it, I don't know.
