TFND-Ep.6 (Dev Update)

Hi, again everyone. He's your update for Episode 6 and a few other things.

Thing 1: Episode 6

Episode 6 is one that I've had a lot of fun writing. I'm not sure if it's the fact that I'm at a point where I wan write more of an interwoven story now that the characters have been more fleshed out or if I was just in a good mood to be writing but I was really happy with this episode's script when I finished it. There's just a lot more happening now with the characters. Adam's frustration with Mary's work life balance problems. Eve's attempts to console Adam about troubles in their relationship. Even more hints at Eve's mysterious new boyfriend. And a hint at the approaching finale. I'm very excited. It is pretty dialog heavy but there's also some new art and a new feeding scene that I hope will be very enjoyable (wink wink)

Thing 2: Interactivity

I've been trying to think of ways to get you guys more involved. Either by making things that you can vote on or making extra interactive content. My first was the Q&A bonus episode but you guys didn't like that which is fine (it's fine) I have a few other ideas but if you have anything you'd like to suggest feel free to let me know in either the comments or a private message. I do not want to make it so you can like vote on what happens next or things like that. No offense but that would only be hurtful to the story and game. Art by committee is never a good idea.

Thing 3: Bonus Episodes

This month I introduced bonus episodes as a way to give some more value to the patreon as well as a way to expand on the story without it feeling like I was locking the entire thing behind a paywall. I liked the idea and it seems you all did too. I'll keep making them. I have a few already planned out but some of them deal with things that haven't happened yet (or at least haven't been revealed) so I have to be carful with them coming at the right time that expands the story and not spoils it. I'm not sure which one I will release next month but there will likely only be one bonus episode.

Thing 4: New Game!

Maybe I shouldn't mention this. It doesn't have any relation to TFND and it won't be included in any patreon tier but I am working on another game that I'd like to release by the end of this month. It will not be an episodic or live service game like this one (I think one of those is enough for me. I'll just release it for a flat price on my itch.io page but I might post like a demo or an exclusive readable teaser to the story. It's a 2D game made in Godot with pixel art. The premise is, a married couple who are both feeders open up a diner in a small town with the dream of making the entire town fat and obese. You play as the waitress (the wife) and take orders, give them to the cook (the husband) and bring them to the tables. Overtime the customers come in fatter and fatter and order even more food. You earn money that you can use to fix up the place and eventually buy things like a scale to weigh the customers as they come in and keep track of how fat the town is getting, a juke box to make the customers stay longer and order more, upgrade the food, your player, things like that. They'll be story beats you get as you upgrade. Not as much of a story as TFND but just enough to make it not feel empty and lifeless. Plus, since I'm charging for this one I don't want it to feel cheap. I've had a lot of ideas for feederism games, some even before I made TFND. That's why I called this "Black Bar GameS". I'd like to make more than just this one project and this will be the first of hopefully a few more. Like I said I don't have anything to show you or direct you to. I just thought you'd be interested and maybe I'll add some written stuff or artwork here at some point.
