Was rewatching Lucky Star while working on this page. The first couple episodes for once, since I've always typically skipped them whenever I rewatch the show. Forgotten about the Cromartie High and Pani Poni Dash references in em.
Makes me feel nostalgic, since it aired back during the summer between my junior and senior year of high school. Was appropriate since the main cast starts in their junior years and move onto their senior years halfway through the show. Makes me think back to all those hopes and dreams I had in regards to my nerdy desires. Visit Japan, work on video games, draw something for a doujinshi, make a visual novel. And now over a decade later I've accomplished all those things and now just waiting to whither and die as a bitter old man who turns 30 in a few weeks.
What sort of thing makes you nostalgic for the "good ol' days"?
Also saw that Mr. Rogers film with Tom Hanks as Mr. Rogers. Tom Hanks was Tom Hanks. Just like when he was Walt Disney. Like, the difference between the two was he talked slower and softer as Mr. Rogers. Other than that it was Tom Hanks. Sure, he was alright, I guess, but it makes me wonder how it'd work if someone else had starred that role.
