Next steps + NTR? + fixes + NTRS?

Hi y’all!

Just wanted to let you know what’s been happening over the past few days.

I was a bit unsure about how to continue the story. After some great discussions with our Discord friends (If you're not there yet, come join us!), I’ve decided it’s best to add an NTS route, so there’s no confusion about whether Emily wants it or not.

I won’t be changing too much, it won’t become a completely new story. I’ll adapt it to NTS while keeping the core of the game intact: Emily teasing the hell out of the MC. 😍

I also want to keep the current story as NTRS, where Emily is always ambiguous and never really says how she feels. You’re left unsure whether she’s into it, just being cruel, or genuinely caring for you as “the lovely girlfriend she is” (her words).

And from what I know, NTRS doesn't exist, bug after explaining the game to ChatGPT, that's what they come up with:

"NTRS (Netorare – Suggestive or Subtle)

Definition: A "soft" or ambiguous form of NTR. The story hints at betrayal or teasing, but nothing is clearly confirmed.

So:

This kind of storytelling leaves room for interpretation and emotional suspense."

So yeah, maybe we're having a new genre here. 🤣

I’d like to add an NTR route as well, but I admit—I’m not entirely sure how to approach it. NTR lovers, help me out: what would you expect for Emily’s story to continue, where the MC already knows what's going on?

In the NTRS route, the MC plays dumb because he's unsure of his feelings (he’ll still be unsure in the NTS route too, but playing along). But I get the impression that’s not what you want from an NTR route. Do you want a confrontation with Emily? Is that what you're expecting?

Please let me know what you'd like to see in an NTR route that allows for a long and well-developed story, without breaking up with her, since that would essentially end the game.

And here's a quick update on what I’m working on: FIXES. Let’s squash those bugs this week, okay? No more disappearing texts or broken Windows versions. Let’s gooo!

And a big thank you again to our Discord friends who supported me over the past few days. It was tough reading some of the harsh comments, and your help meant a lot. Thanks again! 😍

In my opinion the main appeal of this story is the ambiguity and it seems like it is also what you would like to keep as the primary theme regardless of whether you branch into different routes. I am of the opinion that a conversation between the MC and Emily would be good for the story. Even just to make Emily aware of the emotions that these events are causing in the MC (Where he finds it hot but also has conflicting thoughts about whether he really wants it to continue). This conversation in my mind does not need to have a clear conclusion (unless you want to branch the story in which case this is where you could do so), it could just be used to add a little more NTS to the story considering you want it to primarily be NTRS where currently it leans more NTR.

And I also wanna echo others opinion that multiple routes can be a bad idea. It dilutes your attention and effort because you need to write many routes. As a player, I’m feeling I’m missing some content by going through only one route, and if I play both, I’m not sure which is the canon.

Ambiguity is the key. Once a desire is achieved, it disappears. Confrontation, to me, is a bad idea. A confrontation puts an end to the story. And try to think of more interactions between the MC and Michael, which is more fun than ones between MC and Emily, because it’s more subtle and suggestive.
