No Comic Update/Kevin Redesign
Added 2020-08-17 02:40:13 +0000 UTCNo comic tonight as I didn't have it in me to draw a new comic page. I know I'm getting close to the end of the chapter and I should try to sprint to the end, but I couldn't.
Not wanting to be completely unproductive, I thought I'd try to have fun and draw Kevin based off a quick redesign Cooper whipped up after I tried several failed attempts. I'd gotten tired of how I drew Doris'/Miranda's hair and wanted to change it up, and Cooper got tired with how I drew side profile shots, stating how the hair had Mickey Mouse logic to it. Plus he isn't a fan of the lack of lips/side mouth look, especially with how the art has progressed over the years.
I think he came out pretty cute, but I'm curious as what you guys think. When the comic resumes I'll be going back to how I've been doing it, however. I think it'd be too jarring in the middle of the story versus waiting until for the start of the next chapter to pull the trigger. I don't plan to post this in public either, so consider it an exclusive.

2020-08-17 09:29:14 +0000 UTCAgreed about the "manga mouth" trope, where characters seem to have the side of their mouth not facing the 'camera' firmly shut, even if they're screaming. Hope to see more of your efforts to break away from that soon!
