Yo!
As part of my slowing things down, I've been putting myself at task in improving my work! Whether it be details in my drawing to better looking abstract backgrounds and whatever! Part of this, as you may have noticed in the past two Bodysuit 23 pages, is my trying to improve my panel layouts! To do this, Cooper has tasked me with doing a quick rough doodle of comics so as to get a better idea on how professionals do it and better understand why they set it up as they do.
So this is where this giant big ass canvas comes into play! I'm redrawing every single page of Future Retro Hero Story volume 4, directors cut edition! All 328 pages of it! I am still very far away from reaching the end as you can see, but I'm taking stabs at it every couple nights of the week! About 10 pages a night when I sit down to do it.
I thought this might be a fun way for y'all to get a look inside my continuous struggle to make Bodysuit 23 (and Kat) a better and more enjoyable experience! Especially since I'm not drowning myself with work and simply getting whatever down and moving onward because couldn't stop wouldn't stop until getting sick made me stop!
I know this isn't super interesting on its own, what with being extremely vague looking details, but is this something y'all would be interested in seeing from time to time as I work on it? You could take a look at it then back at Bodysuit 23 and go "Oh, this is why Megazone is doing paneling this way!" Maybe a once a week check in to make sure I don't completely drop the ball like most of Cooper's drills?
