Considering there isn't anywhere I really want to travel to, I'd be better off putting the money that would've gone for travel and a hotel stay into doing more things around Dallas that I haven't done before. Stuff like check out some museums and the aquarium and such. Some of that stuff can be pretty pricey, but since the only reason I'd want to go out to a hotel somewhere is to lay there and do nothing all day, my money will be put to better use to there. I'm thinking the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. I went to the garden once back in 2016 during the height of Pokemon Go with my sister and brother in law, except it was August at the time so it was hellishly hot. Going during the spring time will most definitely be more enjoyable.
