After over 11 years since starting the 1980s Urusei Yatsura TV anime, I have finally made it past the Oshii episodes. That's right! I'm on my way to STUDIO DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN quality episodes!
So far they've been fine. There's been a few instances where I questioned some of the pacing, and the constant reusing of animation for this one episode's fight scenes, but it's still fun. At the rate I'm going I should be finished with watching it around 2034ish, after which I'll move onto the reboot series!

2023-11-02 07:53:58 +0000 UTCYeah Urusei Yatsura was a tough series to collect… until recently. The new show is good but they flip around the timeline of when the show takes place. But then Takahashi’s works can still work in modern day. Here is hoping for a rerelease of Mason Ikkou
