Fishing Village + Cormorant Fisherman Animated Tokens

Hey everyone! Today we bring another pack full of stuff.

This is the Cormorant Fishing Village, a small and peaceful village on a river bank surrounded by tall bamboo and constructed over the river with lightweight structures thanks to the bamboo, leaving space on the ground for a few crops.

These fishermen have learned to work together with the big cormorants that live in the neighboring marshes. They fish together since the birds are young and learn the craft. In this symbiotic relationship, the fisherman provides protection from predators, a roof and tools for advanced and more optimal fishing techniques, while the cormorant dives for the biggest fish that the fishermen can't capture.

They produce more than they can consume, so the surplus is sold to any traveler or merchant that passes by and is open to buy some fresh fish.

This village is inspired by the cormorant fishing practice, mostly from China. They teach these birds since they are young to fish for them, but they tie a snare around the throat so they can not swallow the fish and the fisherman can have it.
This practice is being abandoned mostly from competition from other, more optimal, methods, but it's also debatable regarding animal cruelty. It remains alive mainly for tourism nowadays. That's why, in our fantasy world, cormorants and fishermen work together and respect each other, creating an unbreakable bond. Beautiful :)
