Updates to Patreon

TL:DR

Due to feeling a little overwhelmed, and like this might be a better choice in the long run, I'll be retiring the 'General Support' and 'Sneaker Peeker' tiers, and collapsing all the Patreon benefits into the singular, 5€ tier, until February. From today onward, new users won't be able to enter either General Support of Sneaker Peeker. For the current Sneaker Peeker Patrons, please downgrade to Early Peeker when you read this post. I'll be fixing all the tiered posts throughout the night.

Hey! I'm not done with New Year's updates y'all!

So, there's one more update that I've been mulling over for a while. I've been considering collapsing all my Patreon tiers into a singular one, and grant all the benefits to that tier and that tier alone. This has a bit of a story.

When I started the Patreon, I was advised to split my Patreon into three tiers. Other artists around my popularity seemed to be doing the same, and I could probably offer similar benefits. Seemed reasonable, so I did it.

Now, a few months have gone by, and experience is telling me that maybe I started a little too ambitious. Not only do I feel unable to really provide significant value for the different tiers, I feel like one of them is just straight up useless. Basically, despite you being my little support club, I feel like I haven't been providing enough, and I want to streamline things.

My first move will be to block and remove the Tier 0, General Support. In the time it's been up, there has been no activity with it whatsoever, which is understandable, there's not a lot to gain there. It's sitting there, empty, and frankly, I think it's unnecessary. As soon as I'm done with the reworks, it'll be gone.

My second move will be to streamline Early Peeker and Sneaker Peeker into one singular 5€ tier. I'll try to come up with a fancy name a cute little banner at some point throughout the month, too. Tonight, right after having this post go out, I'll be locking Sneaker Peeker from new members and I'll be moving all the tier-locked benefits down to Early Peekers. If you are currently a Sneaker Peeker, I'll ask that you downgrade to Early Peeker as soon as you read this post, to avoid any unnecessary charging. As soon as everyone's downgraded, I'll be removing Sneaker Peeker entirely, with all the benefits carried over.

Once again, a significant change. I hope none of you feel cheated by this, it absolutely is not my intention. If you've supported me as Sneaker Peeker, I am so, so, so thankful, and I am sorry that I haven't been giving enough attention and care to my Patreon. Hopefully, by making things simpler, I'll be able to be a little closer with my community here, and hopefully, make things work better and in more interesting ways.
