Weekly report

A bit of worrying news came in during this week - Gai Noob got some troubles in real life and won’t be able to draw for some time. I already found the replacement for these art pieces but new artists need some to get the style and get used to the details. Anyway, it’s not critical but can affect Ouro’s release date.

I’m expecting the artist to get back on track during the next week with the second H scene and full-height character sprites for dialogue mode. Aside from this, I’m ears deep in the code, testing and gluing different elements and mechanics together.

Found a strange tracing problem for mobile packages and fixed it. Somehow Live2d was still expecting the whole model tree in the hard drive - L2D plugin needed some tweaking. Just as Yorna, Ouro will release on Windows, MacOS, Linux and Android.

Feature-wise the initial release will contain all of the base features and mini-games like hacking, weapon modifications, a gallery with animations, etc. Advanced and flavor extras like animated dialogue sprites may come later if the time permits since I want to make more story and optional content per update so we’ll see how it’ll play out.

Anyway, I’ll post more info before the release.

This depends on the quality of the replacement art. Sketches look promising so far yet I’ll have to wait for completed graphics to make a meaningful decision. Then I can announce the release date.
