This past week has been a lot on my end. Behind the curtain, I'm working hard to wrap up the base draft of this month's YCH story. It's become a lot more involved than I'd expected, but in a very good way.
To make sure I got the vibes right, over the weekend I watched a double feature of the 71' and 05' Chocolate Factory movies.
I've seen both of these more times than I can count, and have been lucky enough to see both in theaters at least once. The original book was a favorite of mine growing up, and they both make for something comfy to watch when I need a pick me up.
That being said, it is so wild that their blueberry scenes have become 'funny feeling' for multiple generations of people, well beyond their initial release.
Watching those scenes feels like seeing a Rosetta Stone for developing an inflation kink. There's so many innocent and unassuming little details that tickle the brain in weird ways; totally benign and harmless when separate, but mixing together into a perfect storm of perversion.
Here's a lil checklist just to break it all down, because once you start adding everything up, it's ridiculous how layered it is:
Violet's initial disobedience, setting up the possibility of punishment. You know you're doing something bad.
The color change spreading slowly across the skin. Bodily changes at a young age are already embarrassing.
Being seen, fretted over, teased, and worried over by not just a group of strangers, but also your parents.
The inflation itself. Big, round, completely overtaking you. You become utterly helpless and immobile!
The belt pop. A sudden, percussive release, loud enough to startle. It's a small detail with a big impact.
Crying out for help to an indifferent audience. Even the person in charge isn't too bothered about what's happening to you.
"Explode?!" This one line from the 71' version adds a darker undertone. Now there's real consequences to your bad behavior. Punishment.
You get rolled away by a Greek Chorus, singing a song that personally shames and humiliates you.
Like...it's no wonder I, and so many others, ended up the way we did. I saw the original movie at like 3 or 4 years old. I didn't stand a chance! None of us did! This scene is seven or eight very specific fetishes all rolled into one!
Heh heh...'rolled'.
It gave me a lot to work with for my YCH story, and I think y'all are going to really enjoy it.
