Baby in the Ballpit - Part 1

*Warning: Just want to mention, that in no way am I trying to make light of the horrible pandemic going on and I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. This was a story, just to have a little fun with it.*

“I cannot believe that you’re actually going to go through with this. You’re adorable.” Molly said, giggling as she looked over at her friend taking her shoes and socks off.

“You’re the one who came up with the idea.” Her friend Lacy responded, as she slipped her heeled boots off her feet. “I’m just taking you up on it.”

The two girls had been best friends practically since they were in diapers, and now that they, just like the rest of the world, was stuck in quarantine they have been trying everything they could possibly think of to keep themselves entertained. Lacy, tired of being at home by herself with her parents still working as essential workers, had snuck over to Molly’s house so she could have some much needed company.

The first couple times they had hung out had been great. They hadn’t had so much free time to hang out and had fun in years. After a while though, it was clear to them both that they were starting to run out of ideas of new things to do.

They had marathon watched all their favorite movies, they had gone for bike rides and roller blading, they had cooked together, played some video games, and more or less everything else they could possibly think of. After months of quarantine, the two of them were starting to get to their wits end on what else they could do to keep themselves entertained.

They were laying on the floor in the living room, both on their phones when Molly’s Mother walked in with Molly’s 6 year old sister in tow. “Hey girls, we’re going out for a while alright. Why don’t you get up and do something ya lazy bums?” Molly’s Mom said chuckling as she led her younger daughter out the front door. “We’ll be back at 7:30 with dinner!” She called out to them, before shutting the front door.

Molly carelessly checked the clock on her phone out of curiosity and saw that it was only 3:00. They had the house to themselves for a couple hours. After chilling on their phones, Molly leaned over to her friend with a smirk and said, “Hey, wanna play truth or dare?” The smirk that Lacy gave her in return told her everything she needed to know.

The following hour proceeded to be a series of the girls asking each other everything they’ve ever wanted to. About sex stuff, embarrassing crushes, and everything and anything else they could think of. That and mixing in a few dares for good measure. Molly had to eat a mixture of gross foods and Lacy had to stick several ice cubes into her undies just to name two of them.

The girls were running out of ideas until Molly finally said, “Oooh I got an idea. What if we did a funny photo shoot?”

Lacy rolled her eyes, this not being the first idea that one of them had re-suggested, “Molly, we did that already, remember? Last week, out by the lake?”

“Oh yeah... that’s right.” The two girls lay there, bored again for a few moments until Molly suddenly let out a gasp and sat up where she was laying, “Oooh okay how about this; what if we did another photoshoot but we a purposely silly one?”

Lacy looked over at her friend, almost willing to do anything if it meant not being bored for a while. “What’d you have in mind?”

Molly hopped up and gestured for her friend to follow her, which Lacy did. Her friend led her through their big house and she thought they were going to stop in Molly’s room like they usually did, but they just walked right past it and entered the back room; a room that Lacy herself hadn’t been in for a very long time since they stopped being kids. They used it as the playroom.

As they walked in, Lacy was actually a little impressed. The room was still an adorable playroom, even better than when she and Molly had been kids. It had a new paint job, it was filled with toys, and it even had a ballpit!

“Oh wow!” Lacy said, genuinely excited. “You guys got a ballpit for your sister?” She leaned over the ballpit fence and scooped some of the balls into her hands before letting them filter out and fall back into the pit.

Molly smiled and nodded. “I know right? Isn’t it adorable? We’ve had it for a long time and my parents finally had some time with all the down time to put it together.”

Lacy gave her friend a funny look though, “Why are we in here though? You wanted to do a photoshoot in here? Of what, us playing like little kids?”

Molly blushed a little but nodded. “Yeah! Why not? It’ll be cute hehe!”

Lacy rolled her eyes at her best friend’s weird ideas, but she decided to humor her. “Fine fine... I’ll do it.” She said laughing a little. “Just tell me what you want me to do...”
