Im glad Woolie brought up "The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas" cuz that was my entire reason for picking Verso's ending. Not just cuz painted Verso is suffering, but because the last remnants of the original Verso would be suffering as well. A utopia built upon the suffering of one is no paradise.

If God came down and said "sorry John, you're fake" he'd be ok with letting the planet blow up because all of humanity as we know it and all our lived experience don't matter anymore. John can make the choice by himself to let everyone die.
