The (hopefully) live version of The Bell Curve vid
Added 2019-12-03 19:27:09 +0000 UTCHere's the updated version of The Bell Curve video, with (most of) the changes I mentioned in my last post, and a few more. I ended up not completely rerecording the audio thanks to an untimely cold :(
This will be the live version of the video unless there's any last minute major errors spotted in the next few hours.

I was going to disable my patreon page for January and not do any work for a while, but so many people got in touch to tell me not to do that, I'm going to leave it up. I'd feel bad not working at all, though, so I'll at least do some (light, ha) research for some future videos. The horrible BBC bias this election cycle has me thinking about a video yelling at them, for instance.

Hey man, just as a heads up, some guy by the name of "Alternative Hypothesis" made a response to you Bell Curve video and it seems as though he's trying to make you look like a fraud. The funny thing is that in the first five minutes, he accuses you of cherry-picking about heredity, but then proceeds to cut you off in the middle of you explaining heredity. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

We even cited some of the same sources, notably Gould's Mismeasure of Man. You're welcome to read it at the link below – I'd be curious at your thoughts now that you've gone through such a thorough analysis of the literature on IQ testing! I think this video is really a cut above a lot of your other work. It tipped the scales for me, and I had to become a supporter. So far as the quality is there, please don't let the length of a video ever be a factor. As far as I'm concerned these videos can't be long enough.

I've read a number of short reviews of this book before that gave me the impression it wasn't worth a damn, but never before have I seen it taken apart so diligently and with such detailed reference to its sources.
