And you know that uncanny power I've mentioned where you keep predicting stuff you couldn't possibly know? It officially left town with this episode. Which is fantastic in this case, because I loved seeing you completely blindsided by Parker. I loved it, but my heart broke for you too. Couple of other neat points I wanted to make. I laughed so hard when the first song was playing in the Bronze while Buffy was dancing with Parker and you said, "Not Dingos Ate My Baby, but.." The singer is Biff Naked, She was huge in the 90's, with hit songs like Spaceman, and, making what you said even funnier, the song she sang while Parker and Buffy were doing the dirty, Lucky Ones. I believe the other song she sang in this episode, Moment of Weakness, was also a smash hit. At least she was here in Canada. I think she was in the US too, though. It's just funny that you compared a real, huge singer to Oz's band. It's super meta. LOL Of course, it did occur to me that you might know who Biff is and you were making a funny. If it was supposed to be a joke, I did laugh, and congrats on the ridiculously convincing deadpan stare you had on when you said it. If you legit don't know, then it was super fun to be able to tell you this. And the second thing. I can say this now without spoiling, since you've finished season 4. Notice the little bit of foreshadowing going on with Harmony when she talks about that the soldier dude she'd been snacking on in the tunnels? She says, "This one tastes funny." That was a reference to the drugs The Initiative had Riley and the other soldiers taking. Harmony was tasting it. I just love that bit of foreshadowing, and always wonder how many people notice it. I had to see the show a few times before I caught it.

i hate buffy blaming herself at all, or seeing others say she shouldnt have slept with him. she didnt do anything wrong. shes an adult. shes allowed to have sex. it’s not her fault if the person turns out to be a lying jerk. parker’s just a scumbag. using his father’s death as a way to manipulate girls and spouting shitty lines then ditching them after using them and acting like it’s their fault for expecting anything. willow’s right. total poophead. though seeing as you’ve watched episode 7 by now im sure that message has really been driven home lol.

I adore this episode. Every reactor is always like ‘spike’s with harmony? What?!’ And i think you touched on some things I think about those two... spike is clearly rebounding after ANOTHER break up with Dru. He was with her over a hundred years, so i’d imagine its hard to move on. Harmony is SUCH a rebound - cute, dumb, blonde, young and naive. Good for a roll in the hay and little else... poor harmony. The stupid thing is (in my opinion), spike so clearly wanted du to want, need and love him the way he loved her - and here is a beautiful girl-vampire, totally in love and willing to do anything for him, and he is pushing it away and being mean. Essentially treating harmony the way dru treated him in recent years... using her. I think there was a James Marsters interview where he said something along the lines of ‘harmony and how spike treats her is like his revenege on women. Dru hurt him repeatedly, and he’s done with it, getting pay back... only it wont make it better because harmony isnt the one who hurt him...’ I have another theory about why he ended up with harmony, but i think maybe i’ll save it for another time haha :) this is an awesome episode to me :)

People need to realise not everything is linear, there is no set time on when a person should move on. I mean Buffy is always going to be pained she can’t have Angel but she can be allowed to move on and love is crazy. I felt pained losing my ex in the summer of last year and felt as though I could move on months later (though I thought maybe it wasn’t time after having a battle with myself).

I’m just saying him and Paul Rudd either have the best anti aging cream ever or they’re truly creatures of the night 😛

I wanted to believe in hope...which I know I shouldn’t but aghhhh

Jane Espenson is the writer for this episode. She talks in an interview about how so many fans at the time were upset that Buffy seemed to move on so soon and so easily from Angel. She talks about the conversation between Buffy and Willow at the end, a chunk of it had to be cut for time. Where Buffy says, "I'm just a fool.", it was supposed to be more in depth of her saying....look at her moving on, look how this isn't about Angel...yet that should have just made her realize it was actually all about Angel and proving something to herself....then she says she's just a fool. Just some fun bts stuff. :D

I think I popped a kidney laughing over your (totally accurate) supposition that Keanu could be a vampire. 😂😂😂

OMG, you are the *best* reactor!

It’s always interesting to see the different levels of people’s bs detector, when it comes to Parker laying it on thick.
