How Tech Bros Hijacked The Government

This video is going live tomorrow. Have it 8 hours early lol...

This is, in spirit, "part 2" to the AI Wars video, but I've decided to refashion it to act as a stand alone video. Partly because the first AI Wars video didn't really perform well, so something advertised as "part 2" would just be worse. Also because this video covers ground much broader than AI. I hope this is enjoyable and non-doom-inducing despite the subject matter being so draining.

it was an absolute clusterfuck to produce this video. First, the backlash to the first video made me want to get this out as soon as I could so that at least people could respond to a complete vision of my work. Then, the first motion designer I was working with took $700 from me, then ghosted me after not providing any work, then when I contested the charge on PayPal to get a refund, he had the gall to FINALLY message me to create an elaborate story that "he was e-mailing the wrong e-mail address the whole time omg!!!11" The story didn't make any sense and his only "proof" was a clearly fabricated chain of e-mails of him "trying to contact me", with one of the e-mail's dates being a day before I first contacted him LOL. So that whole process derailed everything like two weeks. The new designer I was working with was better but it was his first time working on such a big project, and so the video got delayed further as we were working out the kinks.

All to say, I'm glad this shit is over. Was it worth it?!??!? IDK. I'm definitely going to try doing shorter, tighter videos for next time.

I do want to get back on to the Town Hall & Peer Review grind. There's much to discuss in this world!

Brilliant work. Now hire a bodyguard. I too am trying to share this because it explained some stuff clearly to me that I did not know or understand.

thorough work, once again. I am trying to share it via word-of-mouth, because you talked about how the viewership for part one was disappointing ( backlash aside ). I was just watching a Tom Nicholas video about how he can’t sustain himself financially by making his content. It looks like YouTube is becoming an increasingly financially inhospitable place. That must be part of the reason so many creators are moving to platforms like nebula. In Nicholas’ video, he mentioned that a clip of Elon Musk doing the Nazi salute led to (1) the removal of ad revenue and (2) the algorithm hiding the video. I mention this because, of course, your video includes controversial figures like Musk and Trump, as well as (funny) jokes about suicide and similar content. I’m sure you’re already thinking about this stuff as a full-time YouTube creator, I just wanted to ease your mind if, perhaps, you’re frustrated by the lack of views and possible lack of revenue coming from the great work that you are producing.
