Speaking about "forgetting" about Dawn's antics in the early seasons, let's not forget in Season 2 when she was at Parents Night with her mom. When Snyder was being a jerk and saying things about Buffy to Joyce, Dawn totally gave him a painful kick in the shins. I bet Dawn was relieved that Snyder was eaten at Buffy's graduation, it meant that he wouldn't be her principal when she got to high school!

2020-06-18 15:07:45 +0000 UTCThis episode is so funny and well crafted. The smushed nickel thing is a little puzzling, but otherwise everything fits together so nicely. I just realized that Suave!Xander was able to unload the gun with one hand because of course he would be the one to get the Halloween military training! I also really like that scene between Buffy and Riley in his car. Buffy has to reassure Riley about his insecurities a lot, so it's nice to see Riley do the same for her.

With s4 being focused on the girls and their college life they needed these episodes fo re Xander and Giles to show them progressing their characters as well. Now they can focus on moving on to the next issue together knowing themselves more again
