I am assuming that him detaining Woo(an FBI) agent would get him into trouble. i wish they had given a better in universe reason,but IRL it was to give the audience some happiness. I agree with the first point though.

2021-03-07 23:30:01 +0000 UTCI mostly liked this finale but there was one thing I hated and one thing that confused me. What I hated was Monica's "They'll never know what you sacrificed for them" line about the citizens of Westview, those people were the real victims and that line felt very dismissive of their suffering and almost tried to paint their anger as unreasonable but it's really not. Wanda was one of the show's villains, beating another villain and releasing her victims from her torture chamber doesn't make her a hero. At the beginning Wanda didn't intend to take hostages but she still did. I like that the show portrayed Wanda like that because in the comics she flip flops between being a hero and a threat but it felt like they chickened out in the end and tried to soften her image. What confused me was that Hayward was arrested and everyone acting like he's going to prison ... for what? He was an asshole but what crimes did he commit? He doctored the footage from Sword headquarters and lied that Wanda stole Visions body but beyond that? Wanda did take an entire town hostage so him trying to take her out is justifiable. He shot at Billy and Tommy but they weren't real people and in the end Wanda tucked them into bed and literally dissolved their bodies, so what is it? Are they real and trying to kill them is a crime or are they not real and ending their existence is justifiable even if it's sad? The show can't have it both ways. And on top of that there's video footage that shows their apparent age has nothing to do with their real age so Hayward could literally say "I tried to take out super powered, shapeshifting beings supporting the criminal Wanda Maximoff who had just shown themselves to be hostile by attacking and disarming my men" and it wouldn't be a lie.
