2021-03-10 00:32:48 +0000 UTCThings i love about this movie: Flynn/ Eugene is constantly moving Rapunzel’s hair out of her face, tucking it behind her ears or just resting his hand on her cheek. He wants to see her. Mother Gothel on the other hand is always doing the opposite, all of her nicknames for Rapunzel have to do with her power (my flower, sunshine). When she shows affection towards Rapunzel she never kisses her forhead, instead she is kissing her on top of her hair. And at the end of Mother Knows Best she wraps Rapunzel in her own hair, and ends the song by taking several strands of Rapunzel’s hair as she walked away. I’m not sure if there’s even one instance of her touching Rapunzel’s face. Showing an abusive relationship, manipulation etc. Thats why i love disney. It always has a message and the stories are about things that happen in real life.. (with a flick of magic :p).
