Greetings live archive listeners, Ethan here. This one's going up a little bit late because I've recently started classical arts training which has had me pretty slammed for the past few weeks (in addition to playing shows!). The good news is I have finally learned how to sharpen my pencil.

Anyway, this month's show is from the Masquerade tour, which hasn't gotten a ton of love on this series. I picked the Seattle date as hometown shows always have a special energy, and a rare appearance of "Misheard Lyrics" makes this show stand out. It's always a trip for me listening back to 2022 shows as I always forget the level of detail we built for that setlist; even with the complexity of the Scholars show, something about the Masquerade set feels like a technical peak I don't think we've eclipsed yet, at least from my POV of wrangling all the guitar sounds and keeping track of lots of midi changes from song to song.
