Something Different This Way Comes

As of yesterday, my first Quarantine Diary video is done. I'm doing a final pass on it this afternoon and then hitting publish. It's about Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog. It feels good to be finishing things again!
Here's the current plan for these diary videos:
- I want to publish one every Monday. Not sure if that's overly-ambitious, but I gave myself a one week turnaround on this video and pulled it off, so that's going to be the target and we'll see if it's sustainable.
- They have permission to be sloppier. The idea is that the videos be well-considered but not over-thought. It is not necessary that they have a concrete take or throughline, nor that they have perfect audio and pacing. These are videos in the "take an idea and run with it" vein.
- Given the fast turnaround, I'm probably not going to send y'all the 24-hours-early edits. If I get one done early enough on a Sunday I might! But I don't want to publish them later than Monday just to give y'all early access. This is not the new policy, this is just the For Now situation.
- Still not entirely sure what to call these. Corona Diaries? Quarantine Journal? Diarona? If you have suggestions, throw 'em in the comments!

2020-05-18 17:11:33 +0000 UTCA general aside - I've had many folks in my social circle use the phrase 'Physical distance' and emphasise that it's physical distance in social solidarity. It's a language choice I appreciate as 'social distance' just sounds isolating/unfriendly.

So instead I'll go more heartfelt and say you could do something around social distancing but flipped on it's head to be about bringing us together. Like Keeping Distance Social, but better (naming things is hard).
