Something I’m particularly interested in speaking about is how to put a cap on a joke or a scene! SPECIFICALLY for Sunshower since it’s mostly physical comedy like there’s not too much “clever comedy” unless it involves maybe Danny/Adrian/jazz. (with these three you can see I put a lot of unaddressed and unresolved issues that I can reference back to as the story goes on in like chapters 3 and 4 trying to lengthen my readers attention span with danadrian 😏!!) But with Jamie and Noel my main goal with those two is to get the reader to the next update because at the time i was posting once a month! In page turning comic form I have to further reformat a joke for page by page specifically I won’t tie up loose ends to a joke until following page as to when the joke is introduced! Kinda like how the in previous page where Jamie touches Noel but Noel doesn’t react until the following page MORE SPECIFICALLY until you turn the page 🥸!!

I also got a question recently as to why I did Jamie and Noel as a main couple versus Danny and Adrian since they’re my favorite children LOL other than the fact that Jamie and noel were written first and not by me I was not gonna attempt to write at the time wags finger. But I will say this, these two give me a lot of room to be clumsy because they’re p clumsy and storywise they’re issues are all created and resolved within the same chapter. Expect for the overarching fact that they like eachother I guess but that’s a slow burn for you babay. The way they’re jokes are written are in the same vein where the problem will be introduced, usually by Jamie, and then Noel will end it very quickly and it will not hang about on multiple pages or chapters because they’re opposite in their thought>response. Like Jamie spends time thinking over things a lot and you cannot pay Noel good money to contemplate!(and then later on it switches 😏😏😏) If jamie is contemplating or spirally about stuff Noel is usually there to stop it and ask if he’s alright (end scene end chapter end joke roll credits) . So with this their connection is very quick like these two as of chapter 4 have only known eachother for about a week LOL(I know it doesn’t seem fast 😐🫵 COMICS TAKE TIME) OKAY OKAY ENOUGH IM RAMBLING But the semantics of this stuff is why I love this story so much teehee
